ALENA GILLESPIE

My name is Alena Gillespie. 

I am a senior at Bishop Miege High School in Roeland Park, KS. Currently, I am the Web Editor-in-Chief of the Miegian, Bishop Miege's school newspaper. 

 

As a freshman, I took my first journalism class. This led me to join the Miegian staff as staff writer during my sophomore year. I became the Features Editor as a junior. In May of 2022, I was named KSPA's 3A/4A Writer of the Year.
